In Genesis 39, Joseph is a slave in Potiphar's house who is given charge of it all. Scripture says the Lord was with him, and everything he handled prospered. He was doing well, which is exactly where this happened.

Potiphar's wife told him to lie with her. Not once — the account says she spoke to him day after day. Temptation that comes back is not proof you are failing. It is just persistent.

He asked how he could do such a great wickedness and sin against God. He did not weigh it, negotiate it, or explore it. He had already decided, so he only had to say it.

Then he ran

When she caught hold of his garment, he did not stand there being strong. He left the cloak in her hand and went out of the house. It cost him — she accused him and he was jailed for the thing he refused to do — and still, leaving the room was the right move. Sometimes the answer is not resolve but distance.
