90 Days is a website, so it cannot block other sites on your phone. Your phone can, in a few minutes. Here is how.
Why this helps
An urge mostly wins because the next thing is one tap away. A blocker puts a waiting step between you and it. Long enough for the check-in here to do its work.
Be honest with yourself about one thing: every blocker can be switched off. That is not a flaw, it is the point. You are not building a cage. You are building distance.
Free, already on your phone
Start here. It costs nothing and takes about two minutes.
On iPhone and iPad
1Open Settings, then Screen Time.
2Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions and turn it on.
3Go to Content Restrictions, then Web Content.
4Choose Limit Adult Websites. Safari blocks them from then on.
Optional, and stronger: ask someone you trust to set the Screen Time passcode. Then switching the filter off takes asking a person, not a tap. Turn SafeSearch on in the Google app too, if you use Google.
On Android
1Open the Google app, tap your picture, then Settings.
2Go to SafeSearch and turn on Filter explicit results. Chrome follows it.
3In the Play Store, set a content rating under Settings, Family, Parental controls so the heaviest apps are harder to install.
Optional, and stronger: ask someone you trust to set the Play Store PIN, so unblocking takes asking a person, not a tap.
Blocker apps people keep using
The built-in filter is broad. A blocker app goes further. These are the ones people in this situation most often stick with. 90 Days is not paid by any of them.
Free versions cover the basics. The fuller features cost money. That is their business, not a requirement. Only ever need one.
What a blocker cannot do
No blocker is perfect. A determined person finds a way around anything, and on a hard night, you are that determined person. So the goal is not perfection. It is distance, and it works quietly in the background while you do the real work in here.
When an urge still arrives with the blocker on, that is the check-in's job, not the blocker's.
